The music legend was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1995
for "Papas Dream", a bilingual childrens recording made with Los Lobos and
in 1998, he made his European debut at the Cite de la Musique in Paris,
France. The beloved 87 year-old continues to make concert appearances
throughout the country including a recent visit to Notre Dame University and
is a favorite guest on such popular Spanish-language television shows as
"Cristina" and "Sabado Gigante". There are two recently released CDs: a
compilation of his greatest hits titled "El Chicano Inolvidable" and the
newly recorded "Vamos A Bailar Otra Vez" that also includes a music video.
A documentary of his life is in development and his memoirs "Lalo: My Life
and Music" has been published by the University of Arizona Press.
