Eduardo “Lalo” Guerrero, which was born December 24th of 1916 was a pioneer in the Latino music Genre. Paving the way for many future artists to come, he had major success in his work. With many awards and honors reflecting his work as a Latino music songwriter and performer, he became a legendary icon to the Latino community. Making numerous television appearances from the early 50′s to the mid 90′s changing the music industry. Among the records he’s released are “Los Carlistas Quartet”, “Trio Imperial as a Solo Artist”, “La Minifalda de Reynaldall” and Lalo Guerrero y las Ardillitas. The album “Lalo Guerrero y las Ardillitas” which was mirrored on the “Alvin and the Chipmunks” extravaganza as a latin version quickly became a sensation. He released over 20 children’s LP’s including “Las Ardillitas”. Most of the popular songs by “Las Ardillitas” inspired Latino children to become part of the music industry until this day. “Lalo” Guerrero having no formal training in music was a great success in the industry due to a large part that his mother played in his life. His mother taught him how to play the guitar and his family helped him to write his songs. All of this making Eduardo “Lalo” Guerrero’s “Las Ardillitas” part of the Latino music Genre one of the most important.
